The cabbages have been harvested and sent to the Food Pantry and the broccoli is getting bigger everyday. Pole beans and tomatoes are just being planted and mulched. The blueberry bushes are loaded with blooms and we've added a few new blackberry plants. The garden needs lots of care and community groups (Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and church groups) are always welcome. If you are short on time but would like to donate supplies we are in need of raised bed soil, garden tools, timers for self-watering systems, pine needle mulch and fertilizer. If you want additional information about The Giving Garden, contact Gina Schuette at 985-646-0357.
